Celebrating Tomorrow’s Leaders: Inspirational Youth Awards 2025 Champions Announced
On Saturday 12th April 2025, the third Inspirational Youth Awards brought together an electric crowd to honour the next generation of changemakers. From passionate speeches to powerful performances, the evening was bursting with energy – a true B Events experience.
Co-founded by Ifraz Ahmed and Anita Chumber, the Inspirational Youth Awards (IYA) serve as a dynamic platform to celebrate, motivate, and elevate young individuals by showcasing their talents and inspiring journeys. As part of B Events – creators of the region’s most prestigious events – IYA proudly carries the company’s ethos: B Events – Events That Matter. And on this night, it was clear to all that the Inspirational Youth Awards truly do matter.
“This is more than just an awards ceremony – it’s a movement,” said Ifraz Ahmed.
“The energy in the room, the stories shared, and the dreams being realised – this is why we created the Inspirational Youth Awards. We want young people to feel seen, valued, and inspired to keep striving for more. Tonight showed just how powerful our future generation is.”
Anita Chumber added:
“When we say ‘Events That Matter’, this is exactly what we mean. The Inspirational Youth Awards is about recognising real impact – the kind that young people are making in their schools, families, and communities. It’s about raising aspirations and reminding every young person in that room – and beyond – that they are a force for change.”
INSPIRE FUTURE GENERATIONS: Raising Aspirations and Creating Better Communities
At its heart, IYA champions the positive impact our incredible youth are making on their communities. The Awards aim to inspire future generations, empower young people, and celebrate those who are already stepping up and creating meaningful change.
A Full-Circle Moment: Santina Bunting as Host
The ceremony was hosted by none other than Santina Bunting, a former finalist in the Apprentice of the Year category. Now just 19 years old, Santina shared her journey from nominee to host:
“For me, tonight is extra special. Last year I was a finalist sitting where you are now, but this year Anita and Ifraz asked me to be your host! It goes to show that they’re invested in the growth and development of young people. So to all those nominated tonight, I want to remind you – keep going, keep working hard. People are watching, and it will pay off.”
Opening Acts, Creative Fire, and Community Impact
The night began with an explosive performance from Hit the Dhol, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration. This was followed by a powerful spoken word performance by Vigs Poetry – a 23-year-old slam-winning poet, host, and creative powerhouse who has made waves on both local and national stages.
A key highlight of the evening was the spotlight on the event’s charity partner, St Basils, with an inspiring address from CEO Jean Templeton on their life-changing work supporting young people facing homelessness.
